Curiosity | San Mauro Forte is a small center of the Lucan Apennines placed at 565 meters altitude and distant from the sea about 50 km. The landscape is characterized by centuries-old plantations of olive trees, among which are the Cultivar Majatica, placed in rows that follow the natural course of the slopes. The Frantoio Oleario Valluzzi produces exclusively extra-virgin olive oil from Majatica varieties since 1956 according to a technique handed down from father to son |
Our selection | It is a prize-winning oil and is included in the guides 2014 of Slow Food, Gambero Rosso, Golosario, Flos Olei |
