Apicoltura Cazzola - Altedo (BO) - Emilia Romagna
Why we chose them
Several years ago Pierpaolo and Fabrizio bought three beehives to pollinate the fruit trees belonging to the family farm and also to put into practice
their studyies about this charming subject: the beekeeping.
Friends' first comments about their honey were enthusiastic and over time the passion became a job: today the company boasts 200 beehives and
people can taste Cazzola honey all over italy.
To obtain honeys that come from different botanic origin, beehives are brought on different florescence during the year: this operation is called
"Nomadism" . Families are moved only during the night to be placed in a new harvesting field when the sun rise. The new field is 2 km far from the
last field, so bees can orient and find easily the beehive in the new place.
Like in the other agricultural activities, the weather conditions play a key role in beekeeping: for this reason honey features and his availability can
change depending on the year.
Cazzola's secret is only one: not to change what the nature created in a perfect way.
